Terms & Conditions

Check in time will be from 3pm onward (4pm Bunk Inn) – we will be unable to accept check in prior to this time. 1. Introduction These are the terms and conditions that apply when you reserve a room at the Loch Ness Inn and the Loch Ness Inn Bunkhouse using our website or a third-party website (such Booking.com, Expedia or Hostelworld). In making a reservation at the Loch Ness Inn you accept our terms and conditions. We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time and you should therefore check them each time you make a reservation. The terms and conditions applying to your reservation will be those in place on the date that you make your reservation. 2. Reservations To reserve your room please follow the instructions on the website. You must be at least 16 years old to make a reservation. You will need to provide your credit or debit card details to secure your reservation. The Loch Ness Inn accepts Visa, MasterCard and American Express to secure a reservation. Please check that the details of your reservation are complete and accurate before you confirm your reservation. We will not be liable for any delay or non-performance if you provide us with incorrect information. We will confirm our acceptance of your reservation by sending you an email to the email address that you provide during the reservation process. The contract between us for the provision of your room and any additional services added to your reservation will be formed when you receive this email confirmation from us. Non-refundable bookings - a 50% cancellation fee will be charged if cancelled 30 days prior to arrival, out with 30 days, full payment will be taken. If you think that there is a mistake in your reservation or if you require any changes to a confirmed reservation, please contact us to discuss. For more information on cancellation, please see section 10 Cancellation, below. 3. Group reservations A reservation of four rooms or more is usually considered a group booking within at The Loch Ness Inn. If you wish to make a group booking of 4+ rooms, please us on 01456450991 or email us at info@staylochness.co.uk. 4. Room prices The Loch Ness Inn adopts dynamic pricing and the price of our rooms fluctuate based on demand. When you make a reservation room prices may vary from day to day, this will show on your booking. Room prices are per room, per night and are inclusive of VAT at the applicable rate at the time of your reservation. If the rate of VAT changes between the date of your reservation and the date of your stay, we will adjust the rate of VAT that you pay, unless you have already paid for the reservation in full before the change in the rate of VAT takes effect. If you are booking a room in the Loch Ness Inn breakfast is included in the room price. If you are booking a room in the Loch Ness Bunk Inn breakfast is not included in your bed/room rate. All other meals and extras must be paid for separately. 5. Occupancy The maximum room occupancy is as follows: Loch Ness Inn: Double/Twin – Two adults Family 3 – Three adults Family Suite – Four adults Loch Ness Bunk Inn: Rooms vary from four to six occupants – this is based on how many beds are in the room. A single bed is only ever to sleep one person while a king-sized double is only to sleep two. You must not exceed the maximum occupancy for the room allocated to you. We reserve the right to conduct checks on occupancy. The management will levy a charge of £35.00 per person, per night against any reservation where occupants exceed the number of agreed adults to a given room type. Occupancy is not transferable. This charge will be taken as soon as Management discovers additional persons in the room. If we are unable to charge the card on record you will be asked to pay the charge immediately or vacate the premises. Children under 16 are not permitted to stay in The Loch Ness Inn hotel unless a parent or guardian is also staying in the hotel. We reserve the right to request valid photographic proof of identity and age, so please bring this with you otherwise where requested you will not be permitted to stay. 6. Accessibility The Loch Ness Inn has one room which is specially adapted for customers with disabilities. Special requests Although The Loch Ness Inn will try to accommodate special requests, all rooms are subject to availability. 8. Meals If booking a room at the Loch Ness Inn only breakfast is included in the room price, no other meals. Booking a room at the Loch Ness Bunk Inn will not include any meal unless you add the breakfast package. Restaurant reservations; we strongly recommend that you make reservations prior to arrival if possible, particularly if you have a large party, we will of course try to accommodate you but cannot guarantee that you will be able to get a table. 9. Paying for your room If staying in the Loch Ness Inn and you have not paid for your room at the point of booking, any extras added to your booking during the course of your stay and the cost of the room reservation itself will need to be paid on your arrival at the hotel. All additional extras must be paid for before departing the hotel. Payment may be made by cash, credit/debit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express). The expiry date of your debit/credit card must be later than the end of your stay. We do not accept personal cheques. The Loch Ness Bunk Inn is completely non-refundable. 10. Cancellation Your right to cancel The Loch Ness Inn Regular room rate: We require at least 48 hours’ notice of cancellation for bookings. If you cancel more than 48 hours before the check in date, there will be no charge for the room. If you cancel within 48 hours of your check in date you will be charged the full amount of the stay. The Loch Ness Bunk Inn beds and rooms will be sold on a non refundable basis. If a non-refundable room rate has been selected and paid for, no refund will be given under any circumstance. If you’ve made a group booking, our cancellation terms are as follows: • 4 rooms or more will be considered a Group booking and will be subject to the following; a 25% deposit will be required at the time of booking to secure the rooms, a further payment of 25% is required 8 weeks prior to arrival. The balance payment of 50% will be due 4 weeks before the arrival date. In the event of cancellation 8 or more weeks prior to arrival the deposit will be refunded. If the booking is cancelled between 4 and 8 weeks before arrival, we will retain the 25% initial deposit. If the booking is cancelled within the 4 weeks before arrival, we will retain 50%. There will be some flexibility within this process and if we can sell the rooms, we will refund deposits less any losses or costs we have incurred. Our right to cancel Your breach We may cancel your reservation at any time with immediate effect by giving you written notice (which includes email) if: • you do not pay us when you are required to do so; or • you break the contract between us in any way. If we cancel your reservation where you are at fault, we reserve our legal rights in respect of your breach of contract. Where your stay had/has not yet commenced, the total payment made or to be made by you for such room shall be deemed a cancellation charge and is not for any service. Events outside our control We may also cancel your reservation if an event outside of our control (including industrial action, explosion, fire, flooding, and failure of power and/or water supplies or emergency evacuation) means that we are unable to make your room available to you. In this case we will contact you to let you know as soon as possible and: • if you have already paid for your room, we will refund your payment to you; or • if you have not yet paid for your room, you will not have to make any payment to us. As set out above, we will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations that is caused by an event outside of our control. This does not affect your statutory rights. 11. Arrival and departure Rooms are available from 3pm on the arrival date. The latest check in time is 10PM. Guests may be asked to provide proof of identity and nationality upon check-in. Overseas guests, excluding Republic of Ireland and Commonwealth citizens, may be asked to complete a registration form and provide their identity card / passport details. Acceptable forms of identification are: a passport, driving licence, ID card or police warrant card. Rooms must be vacated by 11AM on the day of departure. Failure to leave your room by this time may result in a late check-out charge. 12. Loch Ness Inn expectations of you (and your group) You must not: • smoke anywhere inside any Loch Ness Inn premises. This includes the smoking of e-cigarettes. Permitted smoking areas will be identified on site. Smoking on Loch Ness Inn premises outside of the designated smoking area will result in a £100 fine. This fine will be charged by Management immediately; • bring any potentially dangerous or hazardous materials or equipment onto Loch Ness Inn premises; • use any electrical appliances that may set off the fire alarm system, such as toasters, mini cookers or portable grills; • tamper with any fire alarms or emergency equipment; • utilise the Loch Ness Inn rooms to store items (personal or otherwise) which could in the sole opinion of Loch Ness Inn cause damage to the room, or be a risk to the health and safety of staff or property; • prevent Loch Ness Inn management, housekeeping and/or maintenance staff from access to your room(s) as and when required by the Loch Ness Inn, with housekeeping permitted full access at least once every two days; • remove, damage or destroy any Loch Ness Inn property; • use any of the technology provided by Loch Ness Inn to download or access any unlawful or obscene material; or cause unreasonable disturbance to our other guests or any Loch Ness Inn staff. If you or your group cause damage or loss of any kind to the hotel, other guests or their property, you (as the person making the booking) will be responsible for that damage or loss and you shall be liable to pay to the Loch Ness Inn on demand the amount required to make good or remedy such damage or loss. You and the members of your group must not resell or transfer your reservation (or any part of it) nor advertise, market or otherwise offer any Loch Ness Inn room for sale either on its own or as part of a combined offer. Loch Ness Inn will not honour any reservations made in this way and does not accept any liability for doing so. If you are a Tour Operator and wish to book rooms at a Loch Ness Inn hotel you should contact info@staylochness.co.uk. If you or your group cause damage to the hotel, other guests or their property, or otherwise breach any of these terms and conditions, the Loch Ness Inn reserves the right to: • cancel your reservation with immediate effect and (if appropriate) eject you from the Loch Ness Inn premises; • restrict access to the hotel; • remove your items from the room and hotel, disposing of such items (at no cost and no liability) to a local charity to the extent such items are not collected from us within 7 days of removal; • retain all sums paid by you and/or charge you the full amount of your reservation; and/or • refuse future reservations from you and/or refuse you entry or accommodation at any of our hotels. The Loch Ness Inn will not be liable for any refund or compensation in such circumstances. Loch Ness Inn reserves the right to decline or cancel reservations made and stays in progress by those who have previously breached these terms and conditions (as may be updated from time to time), whether the reservation is in that name or not. We reserve the right to change your room allocation at any point during your stay for any reason. 13.
