Terms & Conditions
CHECK-IN: Our reception is open from 08:00 to 22:00 every day, so we will be happy to see you at any time but rooms are officially ready from 15:00. As a small hotel, we do not employ the services of a night porter so we expect all guests to check-in by 22:00. This is not a curfew, once checked-in, guests come and go as they please using an electronic door entry system. What if you are delayed? In the event that your journey to Oxford does not go according to plan, it is essential that you call before 22:00 to discuss alternative arrangements for your access to the property. PAYMENT: The card number provided is to secure your reservation. We expect payment to be made in person, on departure either in cash or card authorised with a valid signature or pin number. For companies paying on behalf of an individual; the cardholder must contact us directly and provide third party authorisation. This will allow us to process payment without the card being in our possession. HIGH VALUE BOOKINGS: If you have made a reservation with a total value over £750.00 we may charge in advance a figure equal to the first night of accommodation. This is for security purposes. The charge can be refunded at a later date should you wish to make payment with a different card or the figure can be deducted from the booking balance when you settle your bill. PARKING: is available at £10.00 for the first night and £5.00 per night thereafter. This charge will be added to your bill accordingly upon check-in, after we confirm that you have a vehicle. Parking spaces, however cannot be reserved and are offered on a “first come, first serve basis”. On rare occasions, where we struggle to fit everyone in, we will direct you to a pay and display car park less than a 2-minute walk away. Should this become necessary, we will contribute towards the cost of parking up to £5.00 per night. To make the process easier for you, we can pay the 24-hour incremental charges electronically, on your behalf, and then add the difference to your bill. We are happy to contribute towards alternative parking at Hinksey throughout the duration of your confirmed reservation. If space becomes available in our car park, however, we will ask you to relocate your vehicle to The Oxford Townhouse. We cannot contribute towards parking in an alternative location if we have unused spaces in our car park. The same applies to large vehicles, unable to fit in to our parking spaces. On the day of departure, we ask that your car is taken with you at check-out time, which is 11:00. If you wish to extend your parking beyond this time, there is a flat fee of £5.00 (regardless of the number of hours) and a cut off time of 16:30. Alternative parking nearby with approximate prices: Hinksey Park; 190 meters. £15.00 for 24-hours or £4.00 for 5 hours. Redbridge Park & Ride; 1530 meters. £2.00 + £3.60 return bus ticket for 1-11 hours. Westgate Shopping Centre; 1126 meters. £25.00 for 24-hours or £11.00 for 5-6 hours. As parking is limited, we must operate a “one car per room” policy. If you bring a second car, the use of our car park will be subject to availability and chargeable @ £15 per night. In the event that we cannot offer space for a second vehicle, we will direct you to Hinksey Park, the cost of which will be your responsibility. SMOKING: The Oxford Townhouse is entirely non-smoking. Under the Health Act 2006 it is illegal to smoke in all public enclosed areas. This is to protect employees from the harmful effects of second hand smoke. If you wish to smoke please use the rear car park and do not smoke out of your bedroom window. We will take very seriously any breach of this no-smoking policy and may charge you for additional room cleaning. The Oxford Townhouse is an adults only establishment.
