Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction These are the terms and conditions that apply when you reserve a room at The Wheatsheaf using any and all of our booking channels. You will be asked to confirm your acceptance of these terms and conditions when you make a reservation. We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time and you should therefore check them each time you make a reservation. The terms and conditions applying to your reservation will be those in place on the date that you make your reservation. 2. Bookings You must be at least 18 years old to make a reservation. You will need to provide your credit or debit card details to secure your reservation. The Wheatsheaf accepts Visa, Visa Debit and MasterCard. At the time of booking or at check-in, we will take your credit/debit card details and you authorise the use of this card for any sums that become owing to us. We shall also have the right to require full payment in advance or a deposit at the time of booking in certain circumstances or if the booking includes the supply of certain items or services. No Booking shall be treated as confirmed until the details and/or payment/deposit described in this paragraph have been provided. Please check that the details of your reservation are complete and accurate before you confirm your reservation. We will not be liable for any delay or non-performance if you provide us with incorrect information. We will confirm our acceptance of your reservation by sending you an email to the email address that you provide during the reservation process. The contract between us for the provision of your room and any additional services added to your reservation will be formed when you receive this email confirmation from us. If you think that there is a mistake in your reservation or if you require any changes to a confirmed reservation, please contact us to discuss. 3. Room Prices Room prices are per room, per night and are inclusive of VAT at the applicable rate at the time of your reservation. If the rate of VAT changes between the date of your reservation and the date of your stay, we will adjust the rate of VAT that you pay, unless you have already paid for the reservation in full before the change in the rate of VAT takes effect. 4. Occupancy The maximum room occupancy is two guests. You must not exceed the maximum occupancy for the room allocated to you. We reserve the right to conduct checks on occupancy. Occupancy is not transferable. Unfortunately, there is no capacity for extra beds, or cots of any kind in any of our rooms. If you have booked without prior knowledge of this, please contact us directly to discuss and we can advise what to do next. 6. Accessibility Unfortunately, while our downstairs area is fully accessible due to the building being Grade 2 Listed we are unable to provide any accessible bedrooms. 7. Special Requests While we endeavour to cater to all special requests, this may not always be possible. If you have a request, please make us aware at the time of your booking, or as soon as possible after you have made your reservation. All rooms are subject to availability. 8. Meals Breakfast is included in the room rate at the time of booking. Should you wish to exclude breakfast from your reservation, please contact us before proceeding. Any other meals must be paid for at the time, or on departure if you wish to add the costs to your room bill. 9. Payment If you have not paid for your reservation beforehand, you can pay at any point while staying with us. If you wish to add extras to your final bill, you can pay on departure. 10. Arrival and Departure All rooms are available from 2pm on the day of arrival. If you wish an earlier check in, please request this at the time of booking and you will receive confirmation once your request has been reviewed. Please let us know if you are likely to arrive after 9pm on the evening of your arrival date. We kindly ask that rooms are vacated by 10am on the morning of departure. If you wish a later check-out, please ask on arrival if this is possible, and we will endeavor to cater to this request. Should you vacate the room any later than 15 minutes after the stated departure time, you will be charged a £10 late departure fee.
