Overview

A warm welcome to our much-loved 17th Century village pub in Woodditton, situated in the picturesque heart of horse racing country near Newmarket.

Following a devastating fire in 2018, we worked tirelessly to bring this fantastic building back to life ensuring we retained its charm whilst adding a few modern twists and bursts of colour. And, we were able to add 9 new bedrooms in The Barn – so you can stay even longer!

The result (we hope!) is, a cosy, relaxed setting to kick off your boots, wellies or otherwise - enjoying time with friends and family. We are foodies at heart – so expect to find pub classics as well as a regularly changing menu that focuses on our local access to amazing meats, award winning cheeses and the best Fenland veg.

Rooms

Good Super King

Hawthorn and Blackthorn are 'Good' rooms on the ground floor tucked underneath the paddock view rooms. They look out over our landscaped courtyard, a sun trap from spring to autumn. Both have super king beds with en-suites with rainfall showers. These rooms are dog friendly. All bedrooms come with complimentary Connock bathroom products for use during your stay and a tea and coffee station that includes a coffee machine.

Good Super King or Twin

Bramble is one of 'Good rooms located on the ground floors tucked underneath the paddock view rooms. They look out over our landscaped courtyard, a sun trap from spring to autumn. The king size bed in Bramble can be twinned and the en-suite includes a rainfall shower. This room is dog friendly. All bedrooms come with complimentary Connock bathroom products for use during your stay and a tea and coffee station that includes a coffee machine.

Better Super King

Blackberry and Sloe are 'Better' rooms located up one flight of external stairs and have unspoilt views over our neighbouring paddocks and enjoying oodles of natural light. Both have super king beds with an en-suite with a rainfall shower. All bedrooms come with complimentary Connock bathroom products for use during your stay and a tea and coffee station that includes a coffee machine.

Better Super King / Twin

Damson a 'Better' room located up one flight of external stairs and has an unspoilt view over our neighbouring paddocks and enjoys oodles of natural light. Damson has a super king bed that can be twinned with an en-suite with a rainfall shower. All bedrooms come with complimentary Connock bathroom products for use during your stay and a tea and coffee station that includes a coffee machine.

Best Super King

Elderberry and Rosehip are both 'Best' rooms situated on the ground floor. These are our largest rooms both with individual special features. The en suites include and bath and rainfall shower over the tub. Both rooms are dog-friendly and Rosehip has a Hynosa sofa bed, perfect for families. All bedrooms come with complimentary Connock bathroom products for use during your stay and a tea and coffee station that includes a coffee machine.

Best Super King / Twin

Juniper is our ground floor 'Best' room, fully accessible bedroom with a car parking bay just outside. The super king bed in this room can be twinned. The en-suite includes a fully accessible rainfall shower. This is a dog friendly room. All bedrooms come with complimentary Connock bathroom products for use during your stay and a tea and coffee station that includes a coffee machine.
