Terms & Conditions

Atlantic Hotel Terms & Conditions All rooms are inclusive of en-suite bathrooms, bathrobes, colour television, tea and coffee making facilities and hair dryer, telephone & mini safes. Bed and Breakfast Terms include: English Breakfast, use of heated indoor swimming pool, indoor Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. A non- refundable deposit per room is required which will be credited to your accounts. For bookings cancelled due to Government Restrictions that force the closure of the hotel only, we will place the deposit on hold for you to use for another stay in the future (expiry date will be confirmed by management at the time of cancellation). No refunds will be offered. Non-Refundable Deposit A deposit equal to the total cost of the first night's accommodation is required to confirm the booking and by paying this, you are entering into a contract and accepting our booking Terms and Conditions. The same applies when you provide your credit or debit card information. The hotel may require payment in full in advance, or on arrival. All deposit are non-refundable so holiday insurance is therefore strongly recommended. Cancellations must be received in writing, using the same email address used to make the reservation. Reservations made through third parties are subject to terms and conditions outlined in their contract with you; any changes must be made with them, and not direct with the hotel. On arrival, rooms may not be ready until 3.30pm, check out time is 11am. If rooms are not vacated by this time, accounts may be charged for an extra 1 day unless prior arrangements have been agreed with the Atlantic Hotel. SELF CATERING APARTMENT A 50% non-refundable deposit is required upon booking. The remaining balance is required no later than 1 calendar month prior to arrival. Check-in time is from 4pm and check out time is 11am..On arrival a credit or debit card will be required for the pre-authorization of £500 damage bond. The apartment is to be left in a clean and tidy condition, if there are breakages or damage is caused, recompense will be made prior to departure. Payment will be taken from the card details provided. Extras Room service (beverages) £5 per tray Room service (meals) £5 per person Lunch & Dinner is available at an extra charge in Silks Bistro. Silks Bistro is a cashless venue. Dogs & Pets We have 4 designated rooms for well-behaved dogs with responsible owners. There will be a charge of £35 per night, per dog. We do ask that dogs are not allowed on furniture or beds, and we reserve the right to charge for damage caused. Please bring your own dog food as this is not provided. A maximum of 1 large dog or 2 small dogs per room. Dogs are allowed in all areas of the hotel other than the restaurants and leisure facilities. If we feel that your pet is causing nuisance to other guests or barking incessantly during your stay, we reserve the right to ask your dog to leave. We ask that any fouling around the hotel is cleared up, the hotel staff will not be responsible for this. Please do not leave your dog in the room unattended, except for breakfast & dinner reservations within the hotel. Dogs are not accepted during July and August. Smoking Smoking is not allowed in any part of the hotel, including all bedrooms and balconies. Please use allocated smoking areas during your stay. If this ban is ignored a deep cleaning charge of £100 per room will be made. Children’s Terms / Family Room We can arrange family rooms. This consists of a double room with an extra bed or sofa bed. No more than 2 adults & 2 children under 14 can be allocated per room. Group Bookings Group Bookings are at the discretion of management, to enquire about a group booking please contact the hotel directly. Also we unfortunately do not accept Hen or Stag Parties. Functions/Weddings On these occasions, the entertainment can go on until 1.00am and may cause some disturbance to some guests. No allowance can be made. Please check when booking. Also, during the winter months and out of season periods and when a function is being held, some hotel facilities and entertainment may not be available, or in use. New Stricter Regulations on Facilities Due to Health & Safety, we have now been instructed by the Health & Safety Executive that at the slightest problem, all leisure facilities must be closed immediately. No refunds will be made if these facilities are not available. IMPORTANT NOTES • No refunds will be made for meals or rooms not taken or for early departure. • The hotel will cancel bookings only if ratification is received in writing and this will also be acknowledged in writing by the hotel. • We also reserve the right to refuse admission to the hotel, should a guest’s behavior and attitude be of an unacceptable standard. We also expect our guests not to cause annoyance or embarrassment to other guests. Guests who are unwilling or unable to comply will be asked to leave the premises and no money or refunds will be given. • We are unable to guarantee specific room numbers due to certain circumstances that may arise and are out of our control, however every effort with be made to allocate certain rooms if requested. Notice to Guests The Management wish to inform any potential guests that the hotel is an original Victorian building. Guests suffering problems with mobility may find some original accommodation and facilities unsuitable for their needs. This may result in difficulty and/or discomfort during their stay. We ask that anyone with such problems contact the hotel prior to making a booking and advise us of any special access needs they may have such as problems with steps/stairs/wheelchair access or baths etc. We can then assess the accommodation available for the requested dates and advise if suitable rooms are available. The hotel cannot be responsible for any mechanical facilities i.e.. Lift breaks down during your stay. No compensation will be paid if a facility is not available. We cannot be held responsible for the failure of public services (e.g. water, gas, electricity etc) or for any disturbance that is beyond our control. Any facilities may be altered by the management at any time. The accommodation, sauna, swimming pools, spa bath, entertainment and decoration may be changed at the discretion of the management. All prices are correct at the time of publication, but management also reserves the right to alter this tariff at any time, other than when agreed in writing at the time of booking at an agreed price. Guest Parking The car park immediately surrounding the main hotel is free to guests. However, it is on a first come basis. There is alternative pay & display parking within 20 meters of the hotel. Cars left in the hotel’s car park are left at your own risk. Golf The Atlantic Hotel is ideally situated for golfers being close to Newquay Golf Links. Please ask our reservations team for details of the courses where special arrangements have been made for guests staying at the hotel. Any facilities may be altered by the management at any time. Dining, Restaurant and Lounge Facilities Mealtimes may be altered and dining facilities re-arranged at the management’s discretion. We are unable to guarantee dinner reservations for our guests staying on a Room Only & Bed Breakfast basis, therefore it is always highly recommended to pre-book book a table in our Silks Bistro prior to your arrival as our restaurant does get very busy each evening. The hotel has a number of lounges and public areas which are for the benefit of guests for all occasions other than when a private function, conference or wedding is being held. We operate a no-smoking dining room. The dress for dinner is formal, or smart casual. Refurbishment/Building The hotel is open all year round and we try to arrange refurbishment and building work in the quieter periods, however this is not always possible. We endeavor to isolate this work away from our guests as much as possible but reserve the right to carry out any work at any time; please check when making a booking when and if any refurbishing work is taking place. Personal belongings & valuables Personal belongings are the responsibility of each individual. You may leave valuables, jewelry or money in your mini safe. However the management accept no liability in any way for accident or loss of items stored in your safe or left anywhere in the hotel through fire or theft or otherwise unless such loss is due to our negligence. Warranty By accepting the booking the guest declares that to the best of his knowledge and belief, that he and other members of the party and all persons specified, are in good health and free from physical defects and that he is not aware of any circumstances rendering them especially liable to accidents, sickness or disablement. ALL ACCOUNTS TO BE PAID ON ARRIVAL BY CASH, VISA, MASTERCARD, MAESTRO OR SWITCH. Any guest’s wishing to open an extras account, a credit or debit card will be required for pre-authorisation for the total amount due plus an estimated amount of £100 per day to cover any extras. Your bank account can take up to 10 working days to release the unspent pre-authorised amount for extras, and unfortunately, we have no control over this. All extras not paid on departure will be automatically charged on your credit card. Covid-19 There may be some restrictions or limited services in place during your stay to maintain the Health & Safety of our guests and staff.
