A lofty space, this room feels spacious and luxurious, with light sources from three aspects. Modern touches of nickel, linen and abstract art create a contemporary suite. Named after Henry Shackleton who lived at Manor Lodge in Elham. Shackleton became a Lancaster Bomber Pathfinder Pilot during World War II who was blown out of his ‘cockpit’ over Berlin at 20,000 feet and lived to tell the tale. He was in German POW camp and played a part in ‘The Great Escape’. He was a lovely man who lived at Manor Lodge and contributed a great deal to the village of Elham.
