About The Claremont

The Claremont guest house in Brighton & Hove has 11 spacious and stylish en-suite rooms each of which is individually styled using colourful and contemporary fabrics and furnishings.
DURING BRIGHTON FESTIVAL in MAY the Claremont is open to the public at weekends to view our art collection. There are also some live performances in our public spaces. The public do not have access to bedrooms that are occupied by guests.

Many of our rooms have original traditional features. All hotel rooms are en-suite with shower and/or bath and offer the following:
• Luxurious bathrobes and bath sheets
• Gilchrist & Soames toiletries
• Complimentary mineral water
• Flat screen television & radio alarm clock
• Direct-dial telephone
• Well-stocked hospitality trays
• Cafetière with fresh coffee

The three deluxe rooms (two with four poster beds) are an expansive 22 square metres plus en-suite bathroom, while the superior rooms measure an impressive 23.5 square metres including bathroom.

Our three stylish classic doubles are cosier with en-suite shower rooms, separate toilets and lovely garden views. The three singles are spaciously appointed, two with en-suite shower rooms and one with Victorian style bath.

Our luxury boutique property is housed in a beautiful Victorian Villa and is perfect for wedding and business functions, with two elegant reception rooms and a delightful garden. We are licensed to host weddings and civil partnership ceremonies, and offer the large drawing room and study for meetings and small functions.

The Claremont is a Victorian double fronted town house situated in a conservation area and as such has no lift. All bedrooms are on upper floors. Please contact us if you have a problem with climbing stairs.

Parking: There are 4 lanes of parking outside The Claremont. Parking restrictions run from 09:00 - 20:00. The 2 lanes in the middle of Second Ave are pay and display, £5 per 11 hours. The 2 lanes on the outside are resident permit; these are £6 per day and can be purchased from reception. Alternatively, if you register on www.paybyphone.co.uk you can pay via your mobile phone on arrival.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Charges

Upon booking, you will be charged the appropriate room-rate for the first night of your reservation as a deposit. Deposits are non refundable.

Reservations can be cancelled with no further charge (other than the initial deposit) up to 3 days before the day of arrival.

Where a cancellation is made later than 3 days before the day of arrival or by non-arrival the total price of the reservation will be charged.

The debit/credit card that was used to make the original booking will be debited with the cancellation charge unless other payment methods are offered and approved.

Where a room has been fully paid for in advance, payment will only be refunded (less the initial non refundable deposit) if cancellation is received prior to 3 days before the day of arrival.

Where a reservation is for a two or three night minimum, cancellation of only one or two of those nights will not be allowed and cancellations before or after arrival will be subject to payment in full. You are recommended to take out appropriate travel insurance.
