Terms & Conditions

The following Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings made on this website. We kindly ask that you take a moment to read them prior to making a Booking. This list is exhaustible but a full copy can be obtained from the hotel reception. BOOKINGS At the time of booking or at check-in, we may authorise your credit/debit card details and you authorise the use of this card for any sums that become owing to us. We also have the right to require full payment in advance or a deposit at the time of booking in certain circumstances or if the Booking includes the supply of certain items or services. PRICES / RATES The VAT breakdown shown is indicative based on the current rate of VAT, and the expected VAT treatment of the goods or services. VAT will be payable at the prevailing rate applicable at the tax point of the invoice or Booking confirmation issued, and may change depending on the actual rate and the VAT treatment of the goods and services purchased at that date. Price lists for additional items, such as restaurant meals and room service, are on display at relevant locations within the Hotel and are available on request. When the booking permits, any change to the arrival date, departure date or room type is subject to availability at the time the change is requested and may result in possible rate change. CHECK - IN / CHECK-OUT In the interests of security and to prevent fraud, at the time of check-in, guests may be required to confirm their identity by providing their booking reference and their passport/identity card/driving licence. These details may be disclosed to authorised third parties when requested such as the police or crown court. PAYMENT At the time of check-in we will require the full accommodation charges (room rate, VAT and any service charge). Any anticipated incidentals for the duration of your stay will be charged against your credit/debit card. We may also choose to accept a deposit in place of payment card authorisation by cash. MODIFICATIONS AND NO SHOWS When the booking permits, any change to the arrival date, departure date or room type is subject to availability at the time the change is requested and may result in possible rate change. In case of no show, the total price of the booking plus any outstanding admin fees will be charged. ACCESSIBILITY Dependent on your individual needs a selection of specifically designed rooms are available at our hotel. Please contact us on 01924 372069 to discuss specific individual requirements and the availability of appropriate accommodation, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. PARKING Free parking is available to all guests at one free space per room unless otherwise specified. There are limited spaces available and spaces are allocated on a first come first served basis. If the car park is full, you will be given directions to the nearest alternative site. The hotel is not liable for any charges incurred at alternative sites. 24 hour CCTV is available for your security although York House Hotel cannot be held responsible for any damage done to guest vehicles. WIFI By using computer enquipment, (eg, laptop/phone/tablet/games console and or anything else capable of making a wireless connection according to the IEEE 802.11 specification to connect to our hotspot) you represent that; Your have read, understood and agree to the terms of the Wi-Fi Terms and Conditions of use - The contents of which are available at reception. HOTEL EVENTS Please be aware that at certain times throughout the year some of our hotels may host weddings, events and parties, which you may feel would be an intrusion on your break. Please contact the Hotel directly in advance of your stay to check for any such disturbances. NO SMOKING Guests are not permitted to smoke in any of our rooms or public areas. If any guest is found to be smoking in the property, a fine will be issued and the guest may be asked to leave. Any guest asked to leave will not be subject to a refund. CHILDREN All children (a person under 16 years of age) staying at the Hotel must be accompanied by an adult and must be supervised by an adult at all times. Cots and extra beds are available. However, these are limited and subject to availability. Additional charges may apply. Please check at the time of booking. PETS Guide dogs are accepted with prior arrangement but otherwise no pets are allowed at the Hotel.
